Today is the day
I'm running out of food so
I must go shopping

First off, I need milk
which will go together with
some good cereal

I need some lunch meat
Which will be placed in between
Some nice, wholesome bread

I can't forget juice
I must have my cranberry,
Bottled and frozen

The very last thing
(Because I need some dinner)
A few cans of soup

I sincerely hope
The money my dad left me
Is more than enough

Do not be afraid
I'll brave the grocery jungle
and return shortly
